Baby rashes: Types and Treatment

In most of the babies the rash is usually harmless and with the right treatment does get corrected. But one has to be cautious that there can also be some serious condition indications with the kind of rash a baby has. Professional advice is mandatory and here are some of the common baby rashes that babies have:


·         Baby eczema

Eczema means skin condition that is caused due to skin becoming rough, inflamed and itchy. The condition is commonly seen in young children. It is mostly seen between the ages of 6 months to 5 years.

Treatment:

The main cause of eczema remains unknown. There is a role of both genetic and atmospheric factors. Removing these external factors will help with the elimination of the over-activated immune system.

·         Cradle cap
The rashes that occur in the area where oil-producing glands are present will have Seborrheic dermatitis. This is also known as cradle cap and it also impacts the area of cheek and mainly around the nose and the eyes.

       Treatment:
As it is harmless, it disappears when the baby is aged from 6 to 12 months. There isn't a requirement of anti treatment of the child is not having any discomfort. Otherwise, OTC medications and anti-fungal creams might be recommended by the doctor.
